Biography

Mr. Murff had careers in the food industry as national manager of repairs and maintenance for Mrs. Fields, Inc., and in facilities management as Program Manager for the implementation of computerized preventive maintenance systems for twelve million square feet of state office space. During his seven-year tenure with the State of Utah, Mr. Murff founded and served as first president of the Utah Facilities Operation and Maintenance Association. Following successful implementation of computerized preventive maintenance systems for the Division of Facilities Construction and Management, he was asked to write legislation extending this program to all State owned facilities.


Mr. Murff has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Masters in Public Administration from Brigham Young University. He had twenty-five years of progressively responsible positions in a worldwide career in the electric power industry. These responsibilities included tenures as Bechtel Power
